After a successful program with the spring ’16 batch, it’s time to put the Sauna wagon on the road.
A few takeaways from the last six months:
“Spring ’16 batch was more technical than ever. We had smart drones, mesh networks, software based LTE core, just to name a few”, tells our CEO Panu Paljakka.
While Europe is bursting with all sorts of accelerators and incubators, our testimonials speak for themselves: we’re at 194 alumni at the moment who have raised over $100M after the program.
“In the Nordics, there is a tradition of building cool companies that have to have a global mindset from the day one and thus, this a great place to grow your startup and take the very first steps,” adds Startup Sauna’s head coach Moaffak Ahmed.
One main reason for most startups failing is that they can’t find that right product-market fit. That’s why we take this as the primary focus and question to answer during the program – and during our local events tour.
This fall, we’re on the lookout for entrepreneurial superstars that have what it takes to take their team to the next level. One team from our fall batch will be selected as Superhero of Startup Sauna winning an investment prize of €100K from Superhero Capital.
Ahmed, who is also Partner at Superhero Capital, is excited about the fall tour.
“I’ve been working with Startup Sauna from the very beginning, and I know for sure we will be meeting some great teams during the local events tour. The pre-screening process is crucial for Startup Sauna as it’s the first touching point for building a great relationship with ambitious founders and seeing who could benefit from the Sauna program.”
Who are teams that could benefit from Startup Sauna program?
“Founders that have the vision and the skill set for executing things. Another important thing is to be open for all the feedback as you will be receiving a lot of that”, says Ahmed.
