Will is now a Senior advisor for Global Alliances at Aalto University. Previously he ran the Aalto Center for Entrepreneurship. He has spent 15 years in the Finnish high-tech environment, as CEO of a startup (Valimo Wireless, sold to Gemalto in 2010, 3 years) venture capitalist (Eqvitec Partners, Conor Venture Partners, 7 years), CEO of Finland’s largest incubator chain Technopolis Ventures (2 years) investment banker (Robertson Stephens, 2 years), researcher and lecturer (Aalto School of Economics, and Aalto University of Technology, 3 years).
Over the course of the years, he has have been on the board of 15 Finnish companies, 7 of them growth software and mobile companies, including 4 significant exits and 2 bankruptcies. His functional specialties are corporate finance, fundraising, mergers and acquisitions; industry specialty is around mobility, software, finance, sports, wellness; and he loves basketball, golf, winter sports, and music.
