Startup Sauna’s 10th batch – more international than ever

October 20, 2014

We are proud to present our newest batch of 19 teams representing 13 countries!

Startup Sauna Fall ’14 startups come from Nordics, Eastern Europe and Russia, but also all the way from South Korea, Kenya and Lebanon. The current year has broken all the records so far with 781 startups applying to the program, lowering the acceptance rate to a mere 4.5%.

This batch is a mixture of both software and hardware teams. Ki, a cyber security startup, has built a usb-device for effortlessly remembering your passwords, Mailburn relieves the pain of email messages and Modti provides programmable 3D-surfaces. All the 19 selected teams are listed below. We are also happy to see more women aboard, one third of the startups in the program have female founders.

The intensive one-month program starts today (October 20th) and will end in the Startup Sauna Demo Day, organized at Slush on November 18th.

During its history, Startup Sauna has received over 2600 applications and coached more than 1100 startups. We have 126 alumni who have raised $36 million in external funding.

The heat is on!
