Chilling at TC Baltics

Last Tuesday I packed my gear and headed to Riga , “the Paris of Baltics”, together with Elina, the newly elected Aaltoes President. I’m not such a huge fan of waking up at 5.00am, but Tech Chill conference and Tech Hub Riga’s one-year party awaited – so through the security and on to the plane!

Tech Chill is a conference organised by the great guys over at Tech Hub. Around 200 startup enthusiasts gathered over with an old movie theatre serving as the venue. The day included some interesting keynotes by old friends such as Andreas Ehn and Ben Holmes. The day was concluded by a pitching competition between some quite interesting startups including even an alumni from Fall 2012, Froont!

The actual event was followed by Tech Hub Riga’s one-year birthday party. The Latvians sure knew how to throw a party with good music, a local beer tap and even a sauna! All in all, it was great to meet our friends from the Nordics and see that Latvian startup scene is blooming. Looking forward to meet those guys again in the near future.
